There are many people that often attend the gay camps and retreats.  Typically, it is the same people that are there year after year. There are, also, those that are new to the camps and retreats. Just like any other camp and retreat center, there are many fun activities that are scheduled for the attendees.  There are also swimming, games, crafts, and dancing that often takes place.  With a gay and lesbian retreat and camp ground, families and couples can feel much freer to be themselves without the worry that they are being harassed. Many relationships, mutual and romantic, are harvested thru retreats and camps.

There are camps and retreats that are not only designated for those that live an alternative lifestyle, but also by sex, and age.  There are summer and winter camps that are available for teens.  Many teens enjoy going to camp in the summer so that they can meet other gay and lesbian teens from the area.  This also makes for a great time for teens to meet other teens with the same sexual interests. Even in today’s schooling systems, there are still many public schools that do not allow teens to show any signs of affection towards another student of the same sexual orientation.  Attending camps and retreats can be a total eye opener for teens that may be from a small town, or do not associate themselves with other gay teens.  Gay dating amongst teens is much more prevalent than many people realize, and needs to be addressed as such.

For those that love nature, there are nature retreats that are also aimed at gays and lesbians.  One can become a part of nature all over again when they go on a relaxing retreat. There are also conferences that are geared towards gays and lesbians.  These conferences can be beneficial, as it can teach those in attendance how to live their lives in harmony all the while teaching others to be tolerant of their chosen sexual lifestyle. 

Indeed gay dating can be fun and new partners and friends can be met thru gay camps, retreats, and conferences.  Gay dating is becoming more exceptive in many societies and cultures, which is such a positive turn for gays and lesbians alike.  With or without gay camps, retreats, and conferences, there will be gay dating.
